Water Project

The agricultural sector in Liberia is still in its stone age. The ladies in this photo are planting rice with a hoe that is too small and too short. The hoe does not go deep enough into the ground to break it, and the rice roots can't pass deep into the sold. As a result, the roots cannot pick up enough minerals in the ground. So the rice bears fewer grain and harvest is poor. Moreover, using hoe is very difficult and back breaking as you can see.

The district’s poor drinking water conditions is one of the pressing issues we are fighting to improve. As you can see for yourself, the people are still drinking open water. The objective of our organization in addition to the agricultural project is to help villager get access to quality drinking water by gigging well.
